App Troubleshooting

for WiFi/Bluetooth Openers (from Jan 2021 onwards)

If you are having problems with your WiFi opener/closer, please follow the following instructions. If at the end of these points you are still having problems, please let us know at info@hentronix.co.uk

1) Please press k1 (Factory Reset) on the circuit board

The opener should beep after you have done this indicating that the Factory Reset has been effected

2) Please check the power

If you have a solar version of the opener/closer, please try charging the opener’s main battery then reinstalling it

If you suspect that the system isn’t turning on, a voltmeter can establish whether power is getting to the circuit board. Please let us know at info@hentronix.co.uk if you need guidance on how to diagnose the power situation with your Hentronix circuit board

3) Please check the firmware version

The firmware version running on your opener can be found on the ‘Further Settings’ of the Hentronix WiFi app. We are currently on firmware version 3.04 – and just like with your computer, it’s best to be running the latest system version.

Relatively common problems:

  • App isn’t showing the correct ‘Time on Unit’ – Please click ‘Calibrate Time’ on the ‘Further Settings’ page of the app

  • I can’t control the opener away from the coop – Please check that on the ‘Network’ page of the Hentronix WiFi app that you have entered your WiFi network’s password. Please also check that the app says ‘Connected to: [your network name here]’ on the same page.
